Atomic Samoyeds is the culmination of nearly forty years experience breeding, showing and living with working breeds: specifically Samoyeds and (earlier) Akitas. My profession is in nuclear medicine, hence the name “Atomic Samoyeds.”
My philosophy in breeding is quite simply to produce healthy, vibrant Samoyeds who will, in temperament and athleticism, be a credit to their lineage and to this magnificent ancient breed.
My foundation dam, GCh. McMagic’s The White Queen at Orion, WSX (“Sookie”), has been a repeat competitor at Westminster (winning Select Bitch in 2014), an AKC Bronze Grand Champion and in the top ten of AKC owner-handled Samoyeds. Sookie is a happy retiree, having produced five Champions or Grand Champions and some beautiful companions for our owners.
In March of 2013, I obtained my second foundation dam, Ch. Pebbles’ Run Atomic Bombshell WSX (“Ellie”). Ellie is also retired from breeding but remains an avid bikejorer and boater. Sookie, Ellie, and the rest of the Atomic pack enjoy an active Samoyed lifestyle, with activities that include bikejoring, swimming, hiking and kayaking.
My dogs, and their puppies, are superb examples of the Samoyed breed. It has been a pleasure to get to know the families these puppies now reside with and to see their offspring thriving in loving environments.
